From Our Home to Yours
Two people, a small kettle of beeswax, and some curious kitties. This is how Bee Lighted began.
The Beginning
We loved candles — then we read the label.
We had always loved candles and great scents in our home. Once we shifted toward a non-toxic lifestyle, we did some research and discovered how unhealthy and toxic most mainstream candle and scent products were. It was at that point we realized we needed to make a change. That is where our beeswax candle story began.
The Furry Reason
Then there were the cats.
We share our home with two cats who supervise everything—including, apparently, candle R&D. They nap beside the flame, breathe the same air, and trust us completely.
Our love for these little monsters changed how we thought about clean products in our home. It wasn’t enough for our homemade candles to smell nice; they had to be something we were comfortable burning around our most cherished fuzzy family members.
Beeswax was the answer—not only is it naturally non-toxic, it actually purifies the air as it melts, releasing negative ions that bind to allergens and remove them from the air. Our candles burn clean enough for the whole household, fur babies included.

Where We Are Now
Still two people, always by hand.
Bee Lighted is just the two of us, pouring in small batches from the same home that started it all. Every candle is made the way we would make it for ourselves—because it is exactly what we burn for ourselves.
