From Our Home to Yours
Two people, a small kettle of beeswax, and a house full of curious paws. This is how Bee Lighted began.
The Beginning
We loved candles — then we read the label.
For years, a candle was the first thing we lit when we got home. It softened the evenings, marked the end of a long day, and made our small space feel like ours.
But the more we learned about what was actually burning — paraffin, synthetic fragrance, and a list of things we couldn't pronounce — the less at ease we felt filling our home with it night after night.
So we started looking for something honest. Something we could burn every day without a second thought.
The Real Reason
Then there were the cats.
We share our home with two cats who supervise everything — including, apparently, candle research. They nap beside the flame, breathe the same air, and trust us completely.
That trust changed how we thought about clean. It wasn't enough for a candle to smell nice; it had to be something we were comfortable burning around the animals we love most.
Beeswax became the answer — naturally non-toxic, free of synthetic fragrance, and burning clean enough for the whole household, whiskers included.

Where We Are Now
Still two people, still by hand.
Bee Lighted is still just the two of us, pouring in small batches from the same home that started it all. Every candle is made the way we'd make it for ourselves — because it is exactly what we burn for ourselves.
